That’s the time it took for Temple Athletic Director Pat Kraft to begin another national search for a new head coach. Manny Diaz held his press conference 2 weeks ago and said he planned to turn things up a notch at Temple. He said all the right things to make Temple fans believe he was the right guy for the job. There were no illusions, should he be successful, he was gone. Perhaps in 2 years, maybe even after 1 a P5 gig would come calling. But at least there would be temporary stability. The players, the student-athletes, the recruits, had someone to call a head coach.
After being demolished by Duke in the Independence Bowl, Temple had something to look forward to in 2019. New season, new up and coming HC, elite QB and loaded offense.
And then Mark Richt retired…
Now Temple is left searching once more. With 6 weeks left until Signing Day, they need to move fast. Kraft needs to offer some stability.
