Coaching searches are never simple and no better example than what’s unfolding at 10th and Diamond. Temple has it’s own search committee scavenging far and wide for the few available qualified candidates remaining. Meanwhile, their best bet may already be on campus.
Fran Brown, the overwhelming favorite from former players and even some current ones, has much to prove as a leading man but Temple should still make the move to make him the head coach.
College football is a game of recruiting. There is a direct correlation between national championships and recruiting. Fran Brown can recruit with the best of them. Not that Temple will be competing for national championships, but conference championships are acceptable. Hiring Fran Brown will also allow for stability since he is likely to stay for 5 years.
So let’s see if Temple makes the right move.
